Vision

BLUE595 is a multidisciplinary hub for research, artistic creation and critical thought.

Located within the Istituto dei Ciechi in Catania, it investigates the cultures, philosophies and artistic productions of the Central Mediterranean through alternative forms of perception.

Through seminars, exhibitions, performances, and interdisciplinary collaborations, we seek to map the Mediterranean not as a border, but as a space of exchange, connection, and imagination. Our work brings together research and artistic practice to explore invisible routes, shared histories, and emerging forms of knowledge.

The Space

Located within the Istituto dei Ciechi in Catania, the new home of the Ardizzone Gioieni Academy, BLUE595 transforms a historic institution into an observatory of the contemporary.

The address itself — Via Etnea 595 — becomes a point of convergence where physical reality meets abstraction, and where perception becomes a tool for research, creation, and discovery.
